On Feb. 11, the last day of Chinese lunar calendar, graduate students on science island got together to welcome the Chinese New Year of the Ox. Senior officials of Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS) joined the celebration. International students took the opportunity to experience Chinese culture through this festival at close range.

There is a saying in China: "Food is what matters most". As part of the celebration event, delicious Chinese cuisine impressed students much.  

An international student from Sudan is helping to hand out the gifts. More than 200 stdudents joined the celeration event on Feb.11, the eve of new year.
