Andy, the Commercial Director of the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), visited Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (AIOFM) on August 29 at the invitation of Dr. XIONG Wei.

Andy mainly introduced the related work on Earth observation instruments, space science instruments, mission-critical components, space products and services at the load development communication meeting.

In addition, he highlighted the development of TNO spectrometers and the world-leading solutions for Earth observation.

The report also shows the latest research results from TROPOMI detection data: high spatial resolution has significant advantages in pollution identification and monitoring compared to similar spectrometers.

Besides, it also introduced the breakthrough progress of TNO in photoelectric technology.

During the communication, Andy and the relevant researchers discussed the technical topics on the design, processing and calibration of free-form surfaces of space optical load, and gave technical guidance and suggestions for some key technical problems.

Andy's visit and communication laid a good foundation for the Institute to build a good international R&D platform in the future, and it also has a positive effect on accelerating the relevant cooperative research work.
