We are proud that Dr Guohua Ni, deputy director of Applied Plasma Division at ASIPP, has been nominated for Eni Award 2013 for his efforts in energy and environment research.
Dr. Ni has been dedicated to the research of plasma technologies in the fields of energy and environment for a long time. For utilization of organic and carbonaceous waste, he proposed steam plasma reforming technology. He had developed high efficiency water plasma torch and applied to reforming of methane and carbon dioxide, with good application prospectivities. These studies had been published in International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and Plasma Sources Science and Technology.
About Eni Award
The Eni Award was officially established in July 2007 in order to develop innovative ideas for a better use of energy sources, promote environmental research and to valorize new generations of researchers. The award is launched annually and has an established and prestigious network of researchers in the field of energy and the environment. Its target is to monitor and promote the best research and the best scientists in the world in the field of energy, with the ambition to become a sort of Nobel Prize for Energy.
In this year’s edition the Eni Award assigns four main international prizes for outstanding achievements in scientific works in the field of energy and environment: the New Frontiers of Hydrocarbons Prize, the New Frontiers of Hydrocarbons Prize, the Renewable Energy Prize, and the Protection of the Environment Prize.
