Recently, a book titled "Energy Science & Technology in China: A Roadmap to 2050”, was co-published by Springer Company and Science Press. Scientists from Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP), were involved in the manuscript preparation.The English version of “Energy Science & Technology in China: A Roadmap to 2050” was compiled by CHEN Yong. This book crystallizes results in the field of energy research from the technology development road map for 2050 ---- "Innovation 2050: Science, Technology and China's future".

To lead the development of China's energy technology innovation, create new energy industries, and meet the socio-economic development needs, the book fully grasped the characteristics of energy technologies, the new trend and cutting-edge researches for energy development, and condensed out 10 important energy technology directions, including:

non-fossil fuel ground transportation technology,

technology for clean and high value-added usage of coal,

large-scale power generation technology based on renewable energy resources,

new nuclear power and nuclear waste treatment technology, et al.

It depicted an overall plan and the roadmap of the 10 major energy technologies for the energy technology development of China to 2050, and also proposed implement safeguard measurements for "China's energy technology development road map".
