Early March, Prof. WANG Kongjia was invited to attend the “Korea-China-Japan Green Technology Forum” in Jeju Korea, where he gave a speech entitled with “Research and Development of Solar Energy in China”, introducing the solar energy background and current status, and researches on dye sensitized solar cells of China. He pointed out that utilizing green energy is a long term process, which needs more effort to decrease the cost and enhance the long-term stability. The government should give more financial support and tax preference policy to prompt the development of green energy.
This forum was organized by National Research Foundation of Korea and held with the objectives as follows:
1. Discuss the policies and the directions for development of green technology among experts from Korea, China and Japan in order to take part in contributing to sustainable development for 21st Century.
2. Exchange information between green technology policy experts on the current technology development trends.
Experts of three countries proposed that the regional cooperation in Northeast Asia should be strengthened and the forum may be a general platform for exchange and share information among three countries.
