Hosted by ASIPP, the 9th IAEA Technical Meeting (IAEA-TM) on “Control, Data Acquisition, and Remote Participation for Fusion Research” was held in Hefei, China from 06 - 10 May 2013. 86 foreign researchers and from all over the world attended the 4-day meeting, among them 54 are from abroad.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Richard KAMENDJE, official and physicist from International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) made a key-note speech. Prof Li Jiangang, director of ASIPP, delivered a welcome speech and introduced new developments and perspectives of EAST in recent years.
Altogether 4 invited talks, 37 oral talks and 53 posters have been presented on plasma control; machine control, monitoring, safety and remote manipulation; data acquisition and signal processing and so on. Participants have had extensive and deep discussion at the end of every session.
IAEA Technical Meeting on “Control, Data Acquisition, and Remote Participation for Fusion Research” has been held biennially since 1997. This was the first time that this series meeting staged in China.
