37 Chinese documents of technical specification for ITER pulse power electrical network (PPEN) with their English versions finally come out as a result of joint efforts of a 30-member team working 12 hours a day on average in 10 consecutive months since August 2012.

As the power source for superconducting magnet, conventional in-vessel conductors and auxiliary heating systems of ITER project, PPEN is an important component of ITER and the biggest procurement package (PA) of China. 

To implement PPEN PA on time and with quality, a joint team with 30 scientists and technicians from ASIPP and AHEDI (Anhui Electric Power Design Institute) was organized in mid 2012. They have been worked overtime for eight months, communicating with ITER IO and EU design institute, studying Chinese power supply manufacturers and market; at last they translated the EU PPEN design into 37 documents of domestic technical specifications in Chinese as well as in English. These documents will provide a rich information and technical basis for the execution of PPEN procurement package in near future.

Recently experts from power supply design and research institutes, industry, power companies reviewed the documents, they ratified the specifications, and at the same time, put forward some amendment and suggestion.

At the end of the review, Mr. Luo Delong, DDG of ITER CNDA, expressed his admiration for the work, and encouraged ASIPP and its collaborators to complete the China ITER task on time and with high quality.
