Dr. Pietro Agostini, head of Experimental Engineering Technical Unit of ENEA Brasimone visited ASIPP from 8th to 9th July, together with Dr. Alessandro Del Nevo, the responsible officer of EU WCLL (Water Cooled Lead Lithium) project. Welcomed by ASIPP WCLL team, the two sides discuss the possibility to set a joint design group or establish proper exchange channels in the future. 

More than five academic reports were made during the visit, covering the latest studies on experimental facilities and research activities in the fields of nuclear fission and fusion technologies, considerations on blanket choice, WCLL design, as well as fusion reactor materials science related. 

ENEA Brasimone has a long enduring tradition of liquid metal technologies on both Fission and Fusion. On Fusion, they are associated to the European consortium for supplying Test Blanket Modules to ITER, which ASIPP have several tasks on.
