At the invitation of Prof. HUANG wei, Dr. LIU Jinjun from University of Louisville (UL, USA) visited Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics ,Chinese Academy of Sciences (AIOFM,CAS), on August 17, 2015.

Dr. LIU Jinjun gave a presentation entitled "Rotational and fine structure of molecules in nearly degenerate electronic states". He mainly introduced the latest research progress on the triatomic molecule rotational transition mechanism , and expounded the related experiment principles , processes, and theoretical simulation work in detail. The presentation attracted many researchers and graduate students, and caused a warm discussion about the molecule spectroscopy studies.

After the talk, Dr. LIU visited the Laboratory of Atmospheric Physico-Chemistry (APCLAB) And both sides discussed the research cooperation in the future.

Dr. LIU Jinjun is an assistant professor in the Chemistry Department of UL, USA, PhD from the Ohio State University. His main interests are in the spectroscopy studies on gas-phase molecules and molecular complexes, and condensed-phase materials in both frequency domain (using high-resolution lasers) and time domain (using ultrafast laser systems).
