First Announcement
Introduction
The Workshop of Chinese Academy of Sciences on Plasma Physics and Fusion Research, will be held in Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hefei, Anhui, P. R. China. The object of the workshop is to provide an opportunity for scientific discussion and exchange on Plasma Physics and Fusion Research and make close relationship through mutual discussions. These are helpful to establish the global research network indispensable for the promotion of fusion research program.
ASIPP has made great progress in recent ten years. The fourth superconducting tokamak HT-7 was constructed and put into operation successfully. Achievements also have been obtained in scientific research, such as theory of plasma physics, cryogenics, microwave systems etc. The development of EAST (HT-7U) superconducting tokamak device, the national Mega-Science Project goes smoothly.
ASIPP is sincerely hoping that it would be a fruitful workshop, and is looking forward to seeing you in Hefei.

Call for Papers
At least one paper is requested and a one-page abstract should be received before June 10th, 2004. All abstracts will be reproduced and combined in a booklet, which will be handed over to the participants upon registration. Papers could be submitted on-site, which could be published in the journal of Plasma Science and Technology (PST) according author’s opinion.
Registration fee
There will be no registration fee for every participant. For participants overseas, the application of one-way international expenses will be available. For invited scholars, accommodation, transportation and one-way international expenses will be free of charge. The application of return expenses will also be available.
