The First Science and Art Festival on Science Island, which was organized by HFIPS,CAS, lasted from May 26th to June 1st.
A series of events were held on Science Island, including scientific art exhibitions, flea markets, science popularization and art lectures, among other activities.
On May 27th, over 1,000 employees, foreign experts, and students carried more than 100 self-made colorful fish lanterns from both ends of Science Island, and met at the central square. The traditional fish lanterns originated Wang Mantian Village in Shexian County, Anhui Province, which has a history of over 600 years.
Following the fish lantern parade was a concert on Science Island, featuring nearly 30 performances and creating a warm and lively "musical journey through time and space".
On May 28th, the Science Island "Young Scientist Camp" was launched, with 21 campers who love painting and artists gathering on Science Island to depict the scenery with their paintbrushes.
In the afternoon of May 28th, a scientific and artistic salon with the theme of "My Views on the Integration and Coexistence of Science and Art" was held.
