To celebrate International Women’s Day, a special intangible cultural heritage (ICH) handicraft activity was recently held on Science Island. Women researchers and staff gathered to experience the traditional craft of making koujinbao, or clasp purses.
During the workshop, participants selected fabrics, installed metal frames, and completed their own handmade purses under the guidance of instructors. The activity created a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, allowing participants to enjoy the festive spirit while experiencing the charm of traditional handicrafts.
