Last month, researchers from Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (AIOFM), HFIPS joined a comprehensive scientific expedition in the area of Everest, which was organized by Peking University.
Air Monitoring instruments such as Broadband Cavity Enhanced Nitrogen Oxide Analyzer (BBCES-NOx) and Cavity Enhanced Albedometer (CEA-532) developed by AIOFM, were applied in the research process for measuring black carbon, particle size spectrum distribution, ozone etc. The expedition, collecting data respectively in 5200 and 6000 meters above sea level, lasted 14 days till May.8.
