Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS), along with several other CAS research institutes, attended the 2024 AAAS Annual Meeting held in Denver Colorado from February 15th to 17th. The event provided an excellent opportunity for HFIPS to showcase its contribution to the scientific community.
During the exhibition, HFIPS representatives promoted the mega facility of Science Island, which includes the EAST and SHMFF. People lingered in front of the CAS booth, with many showing keen interest in the 3D glasses. Inside, they could explore a novel world -- many three-dimensional images of large-scale facilities.
As public information officer for Eurekalert, HFIPS representatives were invited, together with other CAS PIOs, to present research highlights and English website in meeting with Eurekalert. Both sides exchanged understanding and progress on scientific communication.
Theme of the 2024 AAAS Annual Meeting is Toward Science Without Walls. It offers a unique, exciting, interdisciplinary blend of more than 120 scientific sessions, plenary and topical lectures, workshops, e-poster presentations, and international Expo.
