Cold Dew (寒露), the 17th solar term, spans from October 8 to October 22 this year. During this period, temperatures drop significantly compared to the earlier White Dew phase, leading to increased and colder dew while rainfall decreases. It's a time when autumn crops reach maturity, and farmers prepare for harvest. Traditionally, this term signifies a shift toward winter, prompting people to bundle up against the chill and enjoy seasonal delicacies like pumpkin and chestnut dishes. Additionally, it's an ideal moment for nature walks to witness the vibrant autumn foliage.
