On October 17, 2024, Professor Pierre Ruterana from CIMAP, CNRS-ENSICAEN-CEA-UCBN, France, delivered a lecture on the Development of Nitride Semiconductors for Light Emission and High-Power High-Frequency Electronics at ISSP, HFIPS.
Ruterana highlighted the growing importance of wurtzite nitride semiconductors in critical devices like emitters, detectors, and amplifiers. He emphasized challenges like heat evacuation and spontaneous polarization, which affect device efficiency and reliability.
Professor Ruterana has made significant contributions to semiconductor materials and microscopy. The lecture attracted many interested faculty members and students.
