The China-Korea Summer School on Advanced Nuclear Energy Systems (SKSS 2026) was held at Hefei Science Island from September 14 to 23, bringing together young researchers from China and South Korea for academic exchange.
The event brought together 21 young scholars from 12 leading research institutions and universities in South Korea, along with researchers and graduate students from the University of Science and Technology of China and institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Experts gave talks on advanced nuclear energy, including molten salt reactors, accelerator-driven systems, lead-cooled fast reactors, and AI and robotics applications.
The summer school provided a platform for young researchers from the two countries to share research interests and strengthen academic connections.
