My name is Mohmmed Mun Elseed Hassaan, from Sudan (my Chinese name is 楚天阔-(Chutian Kuo). I am a Ph.D. researcher in the field of nuclear science and technology at Institute of Plasma Physics (ASIPP), Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, which is considered one of the most famous international institutes for conducting cutting-edge research that contributes strongly to solving complex scientific and research problems represented in energy, environment, health, engineering technology, materials, and others.
On Sept. 27, Ceremony of the Chinese Government Friendship was held in Beijing. Grigory Trubnikov, an expert recommended by the Institute of Plasma Physics (ASIPP), Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and international partner, was presented the Chinese Government Friendship Award. He was also invited to speak as a representative of the recipients.
I have arrived in China in September of 2021 under the sponsorship of CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative. I have been in China for three years. Other than my research goals, I had some personal reasons to come to China. Being born and raised in South Korea, all my thoughts and lifestyle were strongly affected by the Korean culture from 1970s to 1990s. As a Korean, I was somewhat exposed to Chinese culture due to the historical cultural exchanges between mainland China and ancient Korea. It will be similar to that American culture shares many similarities with European one. One good example is that I have read “Romance of the Three Kingdoms(三國演義)” in my 20s because it is also loved by many Koreans.
