Another Group of ASIPP Scientists Arrived in ITER Site

Oct 19, 2021 | By ZHAO Weiwei

More ASIPP scientists and engineers are working on site of ITER now. On October 4th, 10 technicians from ASIPP joined 9 engineers who arrived earlier in France. Now the two groups are working on the ITER coil, feeder components and joint assembly, measurement and certification work.

Temporary installation of BCC4 and BCC5 coils is the last two key steps of PIT-ready for TAC1 project.

The two groups performed contour scanning and reverse modeling of the key positions of the PF5, PF6 coils and feedr rings in order to ensure that their positions meet the tolerance requirements. They adjust the assembly position of the BCC coil and its support, and obtain the optimal assembly gap to ensure the smooth hoisting of the BCC coil in the later period.
