Eduroam Network Access Now Available

Eduroam network access is now available at Science Island and the CRAFT Park.

Visitors can log into Eduroam using their institutional internet credentials (such as institutional email accounts) to access the internet.

User Guide:

HFIPS Offers Two Network Access Methods: Eduroam and Guest Network. The Features and Usage Instructions are as Follows.

Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure global cross-domain wireless roaming authentication service developed for research and educational institutions. It currently covers over 6,000 research and educational institutions across more than 80 countries and regions worldwide. Members of institutions that are part of the Eduroam alliance can use their institution’s legitimate credentials to access wireless networks seamlessly at any institution that is part of the Eduroam network.

1.1. Method for Connecting with Android Phones:

1. Open the wireless manager on your phone and connect to eduroam.

2. Select the first "PEAP" for the EAP method.

3. Choose "MSCHAPv2" for Phase 2 authentication.

4. Set CA certificate to "Do not verify".

5. In the Identity field, enter your Science Cloud Pass account email.

6. In the Password field, enter the corresponding login password.

7. Leave the Anonymous identity field empty.

1.2. Method for Connecting with iPhones:

1. Open Settings on your iPhone, go to Wi-Fi, and select eduroam. 

2.  After clicking eduroam, the login page will appear.

3. Enter your Science Cloud Pass account and password in the Username and Password fields, then click "Join" at the top right.

 

4. On the Certificate page, click "Trust" at the top right.


5.Once authentication is complete, you will be connected to the Eduroam wireless network.


1.3. Method for Connecting with Computers: 

1. Click the network connection icon at the bottom right of the taskbar and select eduroam. Click the "Connect" button and enter your institution’s email and password.

2. When the "Continue Connecting" confirmation box pops up, click "Connect" to proceed.


For Visitors with a Domestic Mobile Number:

1. Connect to the hfcas_guest network using your phone or computer.

2. Open a browser and enter any website. The system will automatically pop up a login page.

3. Enter your mobile number to receive a verification code.

4. Enter the verification code and click the "Login" button.

5. After the system shows a successful login page, close the page to access the internet.







For Visitors Without a Domestic Mobile Number or Those Who Require Long-Term Network Access:

1. Please connect to the network via eduroam.

2. Alternatively, contact your host to register for a temporary hfcas_staff network account.
