HFIPS integrates expertise in intelligence and modern agriculture to solve challenges at regional and national scale in agriculture and some special operation environment.
HFIPS is working on developing prototype for functional robot and smart equipment for operation in some special settings. It also builds network for agricultural things and smart agricultural equipment.
A team led by Associate Researcher CHEN Lei from Institute of Intelligent Machines, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has recently proposed an innovative domain adaptive method for rice disease image recognition.
A rice (Oryza sativa) mutant, low grain weight (lgw) was isolated by a research team led by Prof. Wu Yuejin from Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). In this research, they proved that lgw mutation lead to reduced grain length through decreasing cell elongation and proliferation.
Recently, a team of researcher Wang Hongqiang from the Institute of Intelligent Machines,Chinese Academy Of Sciences, proposed a new artificial intelligence framework for target detection, which provided a new solution for fast and high-precision real-time online target recognition.
