Recently, in collaboration with High Magnetic Field Laboratory at the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of Chinese Academy of Sciences, a research group led by Prof. JIANG Chengbao and Prof. WANG Jingmin from School of Materials Science and Engineering at Beihang University developed a Ni34Co8Cu8Mn36Ga14 single crystal that exhibits giant magneto-superelasticity of 5%. This means the crystal can return to its original shape after being deformed, triggered by a magnetic field rather than physical stress.
A research team led by Professor WANG Rujing from Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of Chinese Academy of Sciences developed a new equipment which achieved fully automated and unmanned detection soil nutrients (such as Organic Matter, Available Potassium, Available Phosphorus, etc.) and heavy metals (including Pb, CD, Hg, As, Cr, etc.). They named it the High Throughput Soil Composition Intelligent Detection Robot Equipment.
Recently, a research team from the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of Chinese Academy of Sciences, evaluated the information content associated with polarization crossfire (PCF) measurements for retrieving the particle size distribution (PSD) of water clouds and identified key factors affecting their retrieval in multi-directional polarized observations.
Recently, a research team from Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of Chinese Academy of Sciences developed a novel algorithm using data from the domestic GF-5B Directional Polarimetric Camera (DPC). This algorithm successfully captured the three-dimensional (3-D) structure of clouds through multi-angle polarized cloud parameter inversion.
A recent study led by Wang Qi's research group from the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences successfully synthesized iron and nitrogen co-doped CoFeP-N nanowires for high-efficiency electrocatalytic water splitting.
