A newly published paper on Small Methods provided a novel idea to improve the electrochemical performance of layered materials. The research team, led by Prof. ZHU Xuebin from Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), prepared Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs) with abundant active sites and promising loading mass on carbon cloth (CC), for the first time, via magneto-electrodeposition (MED) technique.
Research conducted in Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) described the mechanism of CaF2 crystal, an important component in the UV optical system, and concluded that it’s closely related to cleavage plane and sliding system.
According to a research published in International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics recently, a team led by Prof. FANG Zhiyou and Pro. CHEN Xueran from Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) found, for the first time, that palmitoylation regulated the activity of SETD2, a kind of protein, affecting the level of H3K36me3 methylation and RNA alternative splicing events, and promoting the recruitment of DNA damage response factors after radiation.
A kind of high-performance bulk pure tungsten with high strength and excellent ductility at low temperature, was fabricated recently by a collaborated research team from Institute of Solid State Physics, Hefei Institutes of physical science (HFIPS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Xi’an Jiaotong University.
In a new band convergence scheme proposed recently by Professor ZHANG Yongsheng’s group from the Institute of Solid State Physics, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the thermoelectric performance of half-Heusler (HH) materials was improved successfully, which provided an effective way to explore novel thermoelectric materials.
