Smart Machining Systems: Modelling, Monitoring and Informatics, an English monograph written by Professor ZHU Kunpeng from Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS),was published in January, 2022 by Springer.
In 2014, a theory showed that the electronic structure of iron-based superconductor has topological properties due to the multi-orbit characteristics under certain conditions, which is similar to the case in topological insulator. Science then, the subsequent theoretical and experimental studies on topological matter in iron-based superconductors have progressed rapidly. Recently, new progresses have been achieved in measuring the response of the topological defects (single iron impurity, linear defects and magnetic flux vortices)
A group of scientists from Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS) Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) developed novel p-type near-infrared (NIR) Transparent Conducting (TC) CuRhO2 thin films with ultrahigh conductivity, unveiling a new material of TC.
Recently, Wu Zhengyan and Zhang Jia's team, from Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HFIPS) Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in collaboration with Professor CAI Dongqing in Donghua University, developed a promising remedy for the rapid and efficient removal of Cd(II) in water, which is a step forward in heavy metal pollution remediation.
The environmental problems in the water area are becoming increasingly prominent. Many cleaning robots on water surface has been invented to clean floating garbage. However, traditional unmanned surface vehicle can only collect garbage within 3 meters in width. Is there any way to do this work more efficiently?
