High Magnet

As an extreme experimental condition, high magnetic field is one of the most effective tool to get insight into the inner degree of freedom in a matter. Combined with the international frontiers of contemporary basic research, researches on the physical properties, processes and mechanisms of condensed matter in high magnetic field are being conducted in ASIPP in cooperation with scientists from Institute of Solid State Physics and University of Science & Technology of China. Meanwhile, R&D will be conducted on the effects of high magnetic field on chemical reactions and biological processes, industrial application of high field magnet technology.

Recent research programs

1Transport properties and Shubnikov- de Hass effect of low-dimensional systems in high magnetic fields.

2Study of magnetic flux dynamics of high TC superconductors and mechanism of high TC superconductivity.

3Study of transport properties of Bi-2201 single crystals in high magnetic field. (National Superconductivity Key Task project)

4Study of electronic states and electron transport characteristics of nanometer NiAl alloys under extreme experimental conditions.

5Study of optical-electrical properties of two-dimensional electron system in semiconductor in high magnetic fields.

6Investigation of new chemical reaction induced by high magnetic fields.

7Study of transport characteristics of giant-magnetoresistance magnetic oxides thin films.
